IT’S BUTTERBRAID TIME…..
Butterbraids will be for sale again, and delivered just in time for Easter.  Order forms will go
home on March 8, and they will be due back on March 23.  You will have time over spring
break to sell them.  Delivery will be on March 31 at 4:00 pm.  Cost is $10 each, due at time
of order.  You receive $4.00 for each one you sell to go towards your band fees for next year,
with 10% of that going back to the GBB general fund.  Start spreading the word now.  Any
questions, contact Carolyn Gieszl.

MILLENIUM SHOW RESULTS
Regional Guard took 1st place in Independent Jr. Class, with a score of 68.80.  Gold Guard
took 6th place in Scholastic Regional A Class with a score of 53.40 (last show 52.90).  Black
Guard took 1st place in Scholastic Open Class with a score of 58.70 (last show 56.50).
Congratulations to all these groups and their success!  Keep up the hard work, it pays off!
Families, if you have not come out to watch these kids perform, you are missing a FANTASTIC
show.

Practice Saturday, Feb. 20 from Noon - 5pm Black Guard Only.

GHS WINTER SHOW: March 20th.  This is an indoor guard and drumline show that we host.
This is our biggest winter fundraiser and we will need your help.   All parents of students
participating in the winter programs are expected to work the show in some capacity. Please
contact Sheri Pierce.

DRUMLINE
Drumline uniforms are $60.  Balance must be paid in full to receive uniform.

WE NEED YOUR DONATIONS, PLEASE!  You can begin dropping off your donations @ Julie’s
house for the garage sale. If you have large items, she can come pick them up this weekend
or Monday, Feb 22nd.

We also need tables to help us sort items and a pop-up frame to display the clothes.  Please
let Julie know if you have any of these items that we can borrow.  We also need help working
the garage sales, along with sorting items Thursday evening.

PARENT PERFORMANCE & DRESS REHEARSAL:
When:  March 6th after the 9am – 9pm practice. Time: TBD
Pot Luck with parents and kids during the dinner break

WGI SAN DIEGO POWER REGIONALS
When:  February 27 & 28
Where: Rancho Bernardo High School 13010 Paseo Lucido San Diego, CA 92128
Ticket Prices: Prelims $13; Finals $15; Combo $25; Non-Finalist Backside Seating $5.
If you plan to attend the San Diego Power Regionals Competition, you may pre-order tickets.

GBB BOARD INFO
GILBERT BAND BOOSTERS are the parent organization that supports the Gilbert High Band
programs.  We are looking for parents interested in being on the board next year, June 1,
2010 to May 31, 2011.  Boosters meet monthly and help with fundraising, uniforms, PR and
website, trips and band camp, football games, social events, band finances, drumline and
guard support, equipment and trailer maintenance, and more! If you are interested in being
on the board, or helping in any capacity, please contact Lance Libby, Band Director or Kim
Cahalan
, Booster President by March 1.

FUNDRAISING
LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR COUNTRY THUNDER:  April 14-17 in Florence, AZ.  If you
would like to work this fundraiser, please contact Robin Norcutt.
Please note this event is in Florence, you are responsible for your own transportation.  The
pay will be $8-$9 per hour, awaiting confirmation from CT.   You must be at least 16 to work
this fundraiser.  Take advantage of this fundraising tool to pay your fall marching fees.

2010 TAX CREDITS. For individual credit, our treasurer, Jen, will need a COPY of your receipt.
Put student name and “band”, etc. at the bottom of the tax credit. YOU CAN PAY THROUGH
THE GILBERT PUBLIC SCHOOLS WEBSITE!
